Overview

Hire Resolve’s client in the manufacturing industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Buyer in Midrand, Gauteng.

Responsibilities:

Source and purchase raw materials, components, and equipment. Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors. Monitor stock levels and coordinate with production and warehouse teams to prevent shortages or overstocking. Work closely with engineering, production, and logistics teams to ensure materials are available as per production schedules. Ensure that all purchased materials meet required industry standards, specifications, and compliance regulations. Stay updated on market trends, material availability, and potential risks affecting the supply chain. Generate and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies. Track spending, analyse cost-saving opportunities, and prepare reports for management. Monitor supplier performance based on delivery timelines, quality, and service levels.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or a related field. Experience in procurement, preferably in electrical manufacturing. Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of electrical components and manufacturing processes.
