About The Role\:

3D Systems is seeking a Lead Buyer to join the Tactical Procurement organization in Rock Hill, SC. The role includes purchasing and planning finished goods, sub-assemblies, and other items as required from suppliers to meet the Sales and Operations Plan. Responsibilities include maintaining supplier relationships, overseeing finished goods inventory levels, and ensuring competitive pricing, high quality, and on-time delivery. Additionally, the Buyer will monitor and report on procurement metrics to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Component sourcing and supplier negotiation is required for this role.

What You Will Bring 

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Operations Management, Engineering, General Business, Accounting, or Finance preferred Purchase Order Processing – Place purchase orders and release shipments against purchase orders as required to meet the Sales and Operations Plan. Planning – Manage inventory parameters and distribution bills in Oracle for FRU components.  Manage Inventory – Maintain all MRP parameters and monitor purchasing activity to meet inventory goals. System Maintenance—Ensure current and accurate information regarding delivery, lead time, and price is correctly reflected in the MRP system (Oracle). Supply Management – Maintain a healthy relationship with the supplier base. Establish lines of communication with suppliers to ensure proactive notification of any exception status. RTV—Communicate part quality issues to suppliers while following the return-to-vendor process. Track returned parts until replacement parts are received. Price and Quality – Meet established price, quality, and on-time delivery objectives. Resolve quality and quantity discrepancies and perform other duties as required. Backlog Review—Create and maintain weekly backlog reporting. Escalating and actioning spare component issues is required. Strategic Initiatives - You may be asked to initiate or participate in strategic projects. Understand and communicate part revisions as required by the engineering change control process. 4 years’ experience or more in tactical procurement with an OEM or Contract Manufacturer Domestic and international supplier negotiations are a plus. Industrial experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus 2 years of experience in supply chain-focused analytics. PPAP experience (Production Part Approval Process) & After-Market or Service-related buying experience preferred. Strong, concise communication skills (written & verbal) with the ability to influence/persuade while working across various levels of the organization Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects and work in Cross-Functional teams Ability to work independently with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment Previous knowledge or experience with REACH, ROHS, WEEE, CalProp 65, etc..... Must be detail-oriented and organized and possess good problem-solving & analytical skills Experience with Microsoft Office suite - Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, PowerBI. Strong negotiation and analytical skills are required Working knowledge of Oracle is preferred In addition to a salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus based on company performance. 3D Systems offers a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental and vision coverage, company-paid short-term and long-term disability insurance, and company-paid basic life insurance.
