EBA&D seeks a procurement professional for the position of Buyer, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager. Responsibilities: + Responsible for day-to-day supplier relationship management: quality, delivery, and price negotiations, conflict resolution, and problem solving. + Responsible for executing procurement activities for materials and services for assigned categories in support of EBA&D Electronics Value Stream in Simsbury, CT. + Develops and implements sourcing plans, price justification packages, and cost analysis in accordance with the requirements. + Coordinates activities with Production, Quality, Engineering, and other internal stakeholders for maximum operational effectiveness. + Maintains accurate supplier and material records in Company’s ERP system. Utilizes Company systems to maximize procurement efficiencies. + Ensures that all regulatory and company requirements for procurement, storage, and transportation of materials are adhered to (DFAR/FAR/CPSR). + Leads or participates in continuous improvement activities to gain expertise and tailor sourcing practices to best fit the organizational requirements. + Provides input in the Supplier Development process by continually evaluating suppliers’ performance and facilitating improvements in cost, quality, and delivery. Requirements: + The Candidate must have a BA/BS in Supply Chain, Finance or Business. 2 to 5 years tactical procurement or related experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry. + Experience in both low volume, development scale procurement (R&D), to low/medium volume production procurement is desirable. + Understanding of Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing practices and basic operation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. + Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and related government procurement documentation requirements. + Strong skills in MS Windows – Excel, Word, Power-point and MS Project. + The candidate must be detail orientated, ability to multi-task and have excellent written and verbal communications skills. + Excels in a dynamic, changeable work environment. Energetic and positive. Ability to work independently. Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit, be curious and self-motivated. + Must be willing to travel as needed (0-10%).
