Job Description

OVERVIEW/BASIC FUNCTION: 

Dynamic and outgoing person that is a team player with effective communication skills. A person in this role needs to be highly organized and able to think critically. A positive attitude and work ethic is required with a “can do” attitude. A self-motivator that is eager to learn. 

 

QUALIFACATIONS/WORKING EXPIERENCE 

1+ year of experience working with meat, preferably in a high-volume retail environment.Experience with cutting all meats and fish.Have excellent knife skills.Manage the station from start to finish.Be a team player. Support and assist fellow team members whenever possible.Have knowledge of cooking procedures, safety and sanitation.Communicate problems and ideas to the Chefs.Problem-solve and guide the team to success.

Language:

Required to speak, read and write English. Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, management and guests.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting 50 pounds, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.

Licenses & Certifications:

Safety food or HACCP preferably.

JOB SUMMARY:

Cleans, cuts, weighs, packages and labels meat in accordance with Rosewood’s high-quality standards.Stocks station neatly, accurately, and in a timely manner.Maintains a clean, organized, and sanitary station according to Department of Health standards.Performs other duties as required or assigned.To assist in the kitchen, contributing to the overall success of outlets and events, in accordance with the hotel’s standards and financial goals. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

Guest Satisfaction:

Provides a courteous and professional service at all times.Handles guest and associate enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting complaints or problems if no immediate solution can be found, whilst providing a prompt follow-up. Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships. 


Operations:

Ensures that all company minimum brand standards have been implemented.Work closely with other associates in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests. Cleans, cuts, and grinds meats, poultry, and seafood. Weights and measures designated meats, poultry, and seafood accordingly. Carries pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stove, and refrigerator.Stores foods in designated areas.Ensures the sanitation standards for kitchen are being met.Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils, segregates and removes garbage.Distributes supplies, utensils, and portable equipment. Assists in quality control of items in outlet and Culinary as a whole.
