The Business Unit Manager is a senior management-level position in the Enterprise Data Office (EDO) Business Execution (BE) Team responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a professional team or department. The team drives the overall administrative activities of the business. These tasks may include managing external audits, business continuity activities or addressing regulatory issues. The Business Unit Manager coordinates and manages activities such as the tracking of business financials, employee headcount and other administrative needs and ad hoc projects as necessary.

Responsibilities:

Maintain the operating rhythm with the leadership team focusing on key priorities, routines and deliverablesPartner with Data Lead and Senior Leadership team and Business Execution peer teams to deliver on the teams objectivesDrive administrative, operational, reporting and quality improvements through partnership with internal teamsManage financial control by applying a comprehensive understanding of the department Profit & Loss (P&L), including appropriate accruals, client allocations, the impact of capitalization, recovery and fixed price contracts in order to improve operational efficiency and productivityResponsible for all cross product technology, regulatory and administrative duties in conjunction with the team, including financial, staffing, quality, risk and regulatory mattersExecute vendor management activities, including ensuring legal requirements are met and coordinating contract negotiation and processingProvide oversight of the Business Critical Milestone Reporting process and other reporting processes to ensure quality, efficiency and accuracyEnsure headcount is accurate, real estate is inventoried and planned, and onboarding and termination of resources are managedWork with Technology leadership to support the Business People strategy as well as the Communication strategy for the departmentAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.Develop financial projections based on risks and opportunitiesEnsure compliance with financial guidelines, company policies and relevant legal regulations.Detail oriented and strategic thinker that can prioritize and multi-task between the several budget priorities

Business Management

Support the Data Lead organization in the delivery of commitments and drive implementation of strategyUnderstand financials and driversAssist Business Unit Head in responding to changes in the environmentManage budgetary requirements and relevant processes

Governance, Risk & Controls

Assist in internal audit reviews, providing materials and address concerns arising from these reviewsEnsure the business is run in compliance with all internal and regulatory standards

Human Capital Management

Ensure the people strategy and organizational capabilities are aligned to business strategySupport the Sales heads managing the headcount and hiring processes  Support the leadership team in overseeing VOE (Voice of Employee) work streams in partnership with Communications and HR teams

Experience, Skills and Capabilities:

Leadership skills to support a large, complex global organizationUnderstanding of the Risk and Controls environmentExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsCredibility to lead, manage, motivate and influence others across geographies and functions Superior problem-solving skills; pragmatic approach to ensure limited resources are directed appropriatelyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHave a strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in financial servicesExperience working in global and complex settings with multiple stakeholdersKnowledge of the financial services industry and technology, including Profit & Loss (P&L), accruals, client allocations, capitalization, recovery and fixed price contractsProven ability to work in a team of diverse skill sets and culturesProven ability to work in high-pressure, time-sensitive environmentsConsistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication

The role requires strong analytical, interpersonal and leadership skills that rely on influence and building effective partnerships to execute on our delivery plans and controls in a systematic, measurable, and effective way.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$176,720.00 - $265,080.00
