Job Summary
Supports warehouse management system within the distribution center. Works with key system users to optimize and improve system performance. Provides expertise in distribution and packaging systems coordinates or leads system change efforts and troubleshoots critical production issues.
Essential Functions
Solution Definition and Documentation:
• Collects and documents Users / Business processes and requirements for solutions.
• Participates / collaborates with the local operations teams to document Functional and Systematic process flows.
• Evaluates local and global system development proposals and provides analysis to local management on likely impacts.
• Provide expertise and problem resolution to the functional departments when issues extend outside the knowledge of the functional department Key/Super Users and or local Systems Specialists.
• Research, communicate and demonstrate “best practice” opportunities for the local/regional organization, allowing key decision makers and local/regional managers the opportunity to leverage “best practice” as a strategic and competitive advantage for the organization.
Project Execution:
• Leads local projects for software changes and system configuration changes.
• Deals with project plans and is able to clearly articulate roles, project goals, and timelines for local projects.
• Adheres to project standards defined by the project manager.
• Accurately employs corporate methodology and documentation tools.
• Proactively carries out local project support / administrative functions.
• Establishes responsible deadlines and personal work plans and manages time effectively.
• Plans and lead testing, implementation, training, support and documentation activities for local projects.
• Assists developers – internal and external – through provision of functional specifications and walkthroughs.
• Provides reporting to local management on project progress and issues
• Acts as the local systems representative and SME on larger global projects.
• Facilitates communication, cooperation, and knowledge sharing with the end user community across the regional area and with the other local/regional Business Analysts to ensure a global system.
• Participates in / supports the implementation of global systems for local sites.
• Supports testing efforts and test data/results validations for external sites in local systems.
Testing and Validation:
• Develops Use Cases and Testing/Validation Scenarios as part of Functional Requirements for software or system configuration changes.
• Prepares detailed testing scripts based on final design documents (Technical Specifications) .
• Accurately and efficiently executes test plans and reports test results
• Assembles and documents all test / validation results using appropriate company methodology and systems.
• Understands local / regional regulatory testing requirements.
Data Collection, Analytics and Reporting:
• Able to capably use available system tools (Business Objects, SQL, RedPrairie/JDA reporting tools) to gather and prepare data
for reports and analytical tasks.
• Designs or prepares reports using approved system tools.
• Uses prepared data to perform analysis of system behavior and respond to ad-hoc reporting requests.
Operational Production Support:
• Acts as second tier Production Support for system issues in support of Systems Specialists and Key/Super Users.

Work Environment:
• Working environment will be split between an office and warehouse / factory building.
• There is an acceptable level of noise generated from Packaging and Distribution machinery.
• Adherence to facility dress code required (proper footwear, etc.)
• Temperatures in the warehouse fluctuate due to seasonal variations.
• Late and Weekend hours are occasionally required (On-Call support).
• Travel: 10% to 20% travel based on project requirements
Experience:
• Practical working knowledge of logistics processes and systems in several major functional areas, and detailed knowledge in at least one relevant area.
• 3 to 5 years of experience working directly in at least one major operational area –Distribution, Packaging/Manufacturing, Supply-Chain, Planning or other production
environment.
• Must have experience in logistics IT including WMS, WCS, Interfaces to ERP systems and automation (Red Prairie –JDA, Oracle, Baan, Material Handling Equipmentc experience preferred).
• High level of IT literacy – concepts and terminology.
• Ability to implement a project plan and proven project Management experience
• Competence with all major Office applications including Excel, Word ,Outlook and Visio
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree is required and/or a combination of education and experience resulting in a sound understanding of job responsibilities.

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $83,556 and $111,408 per year and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
