Business Systems Analyst III - Tableau (Remote)
Overview This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States. This position performs complex data analysis to identify factors that affect business profitability, growth, and efficiency. Assesses a wide scope of business practices, information, and industry trends. Determines improvements or solutions to address identified issues. Prepares technical reports by examining and summarizing data, and creates specifications to support business initiatives. May oversee the work of less experienced analysts or assist in special projects as needed. Responsibilities Data Analysis - Sources, compiles, and interprets data. Performs advanced data analysis, effectively communicating and directing analysis output. Operational Support - Provides support for business operations by responding to inquiries, identifying issues, and working to improve team practices. Assists in streamlining daily workflow for overall unit, resolving escalated matters where possible. Implements recommended modifications and enhancements. May serve as an analytics resource to wider organization or business units. Identifying Objectives - Determines business needs through complex analysis and reporting. Develops strategies to achieve company and department goals, and communicates these through the use of specifications, project plans, or other forms of documentation. Reporting - Produces reports based on data analysis, industry trends, and process capabilities. Conveys patterns, problems, and areas of improvement. May develop process enhancements based on reporting. Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards to provide insights into business performance by creating data models, data sources, security and access control Analyze data to identify trends and patterns, develop actionable insights, data visualizations to support business decisions Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and develop appropriate visualizations Create and maintain documentation for Tableau dashboards, troubleshoot and resolve dashboard issues Conduct End User community Training and mentor on Tableau usage Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Systems Support, or Analytics, or Operations Support OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Systems Support, or Analytics, or Operations Support. Preferred skills and experience: Tableau, Power BI, Cognos, Excel, SQL Leverage advanced Tableau functionality (parameters, actions, tooltip modifications, API, etc.) to create analytical dashboards Tableau dashboard development, SQL, Python, Data warehousing, Performance optimization Extensive knowledge in various reporting Tableau objects like Facts, Attributes, Hierarchies, Transformations, Filters, Calculated fields, Sets, Groups, Parameters Experience in understanding of Data Warehouse architecture. (ODS, EDS, EDW, Data Marts), Business Intelligence, dimensional modeling Plus if you have these skills - ETL DataStage, Informatica If hired in NOrth Carolina, the base pay for this position is generally between $78,000 and $119,600. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
