As a Business Systems Analyst, you will be part of the established STARs Analytics team that is focused on developing a cutting-edge analytic platform and deploying advanced machine learning models to improve health outcomes for our members. You will be a critical member of the team that will document business requirements and translate them into technical requirements for our Data Engineering, Data Science and Business Intelligence teams.

**Schedule** : Full-time position, Monday - Friday with standard working hours
_Careers with Optum offer flexible work arrangements and individuals who live and work in the Republic of Ireland will have the opportunity to split their monthly work hours between our Dublin or Letterkenny Offices and telecommuting from a home-based office in a hybrid work model._
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Partner with our US colleagues to develop, manage and triage data and analytics support artifacts to support the broader STARs data pipelines
+ Become an Ireland Analytics Platform SME to resolve data pipeline issues or route to the appropriate team for resolution
+ Support the current BA team and work with business partners to define and document business and technical requirements for data and analytics projects, this includes the documentation of data flows and data mapping from source systems into our analytic platform
+ Partner with our Compliance and Privacy team to ensure our dataset have proper member level de-identification that complies with existing customer contracts
+ Create user stories and acceptance criteria
+ Attend and participate in Daily Scrum meetings
+ Participate in Sprint Planning and Sprint Review meetings with the Scrum Team and project stakeholders
+ Participate and contribute to weekly Data Governance meetings with team leads and project stakeholders
+ Document data ingestion updates to the wider STARs team on a regular basis
+ Assist with QA of features once implemented
+ Assist in the refresh production of existing BI and DS outputs
+ Support the Scrum Master as part of the Business Strategy function within the team

**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelors Degree (or higher) OR equivalent qualification
+ Understanding of relational database concepts
+ SQL querying experience
+ Experience with analyzing and documenting requirements
+ Stakeholder management experience
+ Ability to analyze data, drive to root cause issue, identify trends, problem solve and provide key recommendations based on analysis
+ Proficiency with Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint
+ Fluent in English both written and spoken
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience with Agile methodology
+ Understanding of Snowflake and its components within Big Data
+ Experience with HIPAA and data de-identification methodologies
+ Healthcare/Pharmacy experience
+ Exposure to BI tools & Machine Learning models/projects
**Soft Skills:**
+ Excellent communication skills
