Our client, a leading healthcare organization dedicated to advancing patient care and safety, is looking for a contract Business Systems Analyst. This is an onsite role, local to Pleasanton, CA.
This position executes requirements-gathering methodologies to identify business, functional, and non-functional requirements within the designated business domain. This role also develops requirements for process or system solutions within the assigned business domain(s) and supports the evolution of applications, systems, and/or processes to a desired future state. This role supports the evaluation of third-party vendors as directed and recommends regional and/or national process improvements that align with sustainable best practices and the strategic and tactical goals of the business.
**Contract Duration:** 6-Months
**Required Skills & Experience**
+ High School completion is the minimum education required
+ Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Social Science, Mathematics, CIS, or related field and Minimum three (2) years’ experience in IT or a related field, including a Minimum one (1) year in network engineering, application development, or desktop support and CIS. Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
**Desired Skills & Experience**
+ One (1) year experience working on cross-functional project teams
+ One (1) year experience performing vendor assessments/engagement of IT technologies implementation.
+ One (1) year work experience requiring the development of technical documents or presentations.
+ One (1) year experience working on projects or programs requiring the integration of cross-functional technology and/or business solutions.
+ One (1) year experience in IT incident management, including the development and/or deployment of remediation plans in ITIL environment.
+ Two (2) years software or application development/testing experience.
+ Two (2) years’ experience in Windows administration or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA).
+ One (1) year experience in UNIX/Linux administration.
**What You Will Be Doing**
Daily Responsibilities
+ Completes work assignments by applying up-to-date knowledge in the subject area to meet deadlines; following procedures and policies, and applying data and resources to support projects or initiatives; collaborating with others, often cross-functionally, to solve business problems; supporting the completion of priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicating progress and information; identifying and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities when possible; and escalating issues or risks as appropriate.
+ Pursues self-development and effective relationships with others by sharing resources, information, and knowledge with coworkers and customers; listening, responding to, and seeking performance feedback; acknowledging strengths and weaknesses; assessing and responding to the needs of others; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.
+ Effectively communicates investigative findings to non-technical audiences.
+ Works with technology risk teams and business stakeholders to respond to and remediate identified issues and determine the best approach for improving business protocol.
+ Provides recommendations to team or department leadership on how to remediate issues identified through system testing processes.
+ Follows established processes to ensure KPI goals are obtained, and performance metrics are tracked on an ongoing basis.
+ Supports continuous process improvement by participating in the development, implementation, and maintenance of standardized security tools, templates, and processes across assigned business domain(s).
+ Researches and stays abreast of integrated applications to creatively discover any vulnerabilities and recommend solutions for technology systems.
+ Generates scheduled reports (e.g., ticket volume updates, error reports, remediation reports) and provides regular metrics to IT teams as appropriate. Support of Windows and Macbook OS. Active Roles/Access support, ITSM and other service support for workstation builds, maintenance, deployments and device mgmt. VDI Support/Virtual Environment knowledge.
