The role
As a Business Support Associate, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Join our Business Support Team to deliver essential services, assist the Business Support Manager (BSM), and compile vital Management Information, driving improvement initiatives and supporting key projects. 

 

Day-to-day, you’ll drive business performance management by analysing key metrics, collaborating with stakeholders to transform data into actionable insights, maintaining critical registers, and supporting project lifecycles from initiation to benefits measurement.

 

Collate and analyse key metrics for business performance management, supporting regular and ad-hoc reporting for the Assurance Directorate. Collaborate with Heads of Department and stakeholders to validate data and provide actionable insights for senior management decision-making. Maintain accurate and accessible registers, including risk records, financial controls, and project documentation. Assist the BSM in project lifecycle activities, from initiation to implementation and benefits measurement. Transform data into meaningful information, delivering recommendations to drive intelligent business decisions.

 

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.

 

Essential experience of the Business Support Associate

Proficient in MS Excel, PowerBI, or similar tools to analyse and present data effectively. Experienced in project management environments with strong organisational skills. Skilled in mathematics and numeracy, paired with a professional and adaptable attitude. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for collaboration and results.

 

Qualifications for the Business Support Associate

A-Levels or equivalent level 3 qualification or suitable experience.  GCSE in English and Maths Grade C or equivalent. APM Project Management fundamentals or experience of working within a project management environment – Desirable.

 

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
