Job Summary

The Business Support Analyst (BSA) IV leverages complex technology and applications to meet organization needs by providing technical support and business solutions for day to day operations and efficient and effective utilization of Institute enterprise applications. The BSA IV is responsible for continual evaluation and system improvement, application deployment and training, upgrade coordination, system troubleshooting, and determination of appropriate integration points. The BSA IV maintains expertise for numerous business applications and business subject areas and provides mentoring and development for other Business Support Analyst personnel.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree Five (5) or more years of relevant professional work experience, to include Proven experience in technical support and business solutions Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and mentoring abilities Experience in Project Management

Relevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

  Experience in Higher Education Experience with human resources information systems Experience working across and between enterprise and application software
 

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of specific application, services or business unit processes Ability to mentor and guide other team members on projects and unit initiatives Ability to develop and provide training to all levels Ability to work effective under pressure and meet goals and deadlines Ability to learn quickly, analyze complex issues and provide advanced troubleshooting Ability to communicate and cooperate effectively with colleagues and users in a diverse environment Ability to work both independently and as a team member

Preferred Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities

Knowledge and understanding of human resources processes and procedures Knowledge and understanding of how human resources information systems work to support defined processes and procedures Ability to interact with both functional end users and technical resources and act as a conduit between the two when necessary

Shift

Business Hours: Monday - Friday

Starting Salary/Rate

Expected hiring range: $77,500- $83,000 per year

Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate’s salary will be determined based on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate’s qualifications, experience, education and other job-related credentials. This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer’s good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting and cannot be exceeded.
