Job Description

The Business Operations Analyst will support the NBC Spot On/Local Ad Sales organization by analyzing and improving business processes, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations, and assisting with data tracking and reporting. The analyst will work closely with the Sr. Manager of Business Operation and other cross-functional teams to ensure that business objectives are met, KPIs are tracked, and operational improvements are implemented.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in monitoring the organization’s functions and contribute to the improvement of business processes to meet overall objectives. Track KPIs to measure performance and report findings to leadership.Participate in cross-functional team meetings, assist in developing agendas, distribute action items, and ensure follow-ups on all outstanding items.Track and report key business metrics across teams. Analyze trends and provide insights to drive operational efficiency.Assist in supporting cross-functional projects by driving conversations, resolving issues, monitoring project timelines, and following up on deliverables.Support meetings with vendors/partners by tracking deliverables and holding internal and external teams accountable.Help document project scope, timelines, risks, and outcomes. Contribute to the development of communication matrices and close-out processes.Monitor daily operations to identify and address potential issues. Support internal teams by acting as the first line of communication for general inquiries.Assist in identifying project risks and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure successful project execution.Collaborate with internal teams to assist in the launch of new advertising products by outlining requirements, ad specifications, and performing quality assurance (QA).Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on business priorities, strategic goals, and timelines.Analyze sales and operational processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements that optimize workflow.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

2-3 years of experience in business operations, data analysis, or project management in a related field (e.g., advertising, media, digital marketing).Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and draw insights from complex data sets.Familiarity with project management processes and tools. Experience with tracking deliverables and ensuring timelines are met. Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis) are required.Strong written and verbal communication skills to present data and insights to various levels of the organization.Able to think critically and resolve issues that arise in a fast-paced environment.Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and track multiple projects simultaneously.Familiarity with the digital advertising industry, including ad-serving technologies (e.g., Ad Manager, Freewheel) is a plus.Self-motivated, fast learner, and able to work independently or in a team setting.

Preferred Skills:

Basic understanding of digital ad operations and online ad-serving platforms.Experience in analyzing operational processes and creating reports to influence business decisions.Proven ability to work cross-functionally and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Additional Requirements:

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
