Business Manager - Corporate
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
Required: NQF Level 9 (Master’s degree or equivalent). Alternatively, NQF Level 8 with active enrolment in a Master’s program. Advantageous: Project Management certification. Completion of Executive or Senior Leadership Development programs.  
EXPERIENCE
3–5 years in a similar role within the financial sector, preferably with listed entities. 3+ years in management consulting, financial analysis, or strategic finance operations. 3+ years engaging with executive leadership and board members.  
KEY SKILLS
Project management and technical financial expertise. Strong communication, business writing, and report-writing skills. Advanced proficiency in Excel and the MS Office Suite. Relationship building, negotiation, and conflict resolution. Resilience, agility, and an aptitude for technology. Effective presentation and strategic decision-making abilities.  
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
EXECUTIVE SUPPORT
Directly support the CEO with program management on a weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc basis. Organize and synthesize information from various departments, presenting actionable insights to executive members. Manage the CEO’s communication by prioritizing key messages and controlling meeting schedules. Strategically plan the CEO’s time by coordinating travel, evaluating opportunities, and ensuring alignment with priorities. Prepare for meetings by reviewing agendas, distributing relevant documents, and providing follow-ups as needed. Draft and edit reports, speeches, and presentations for the CEO. Act as a gatekeeper, monitoring the flow of information and facilitating the CEO’s involvement at critical moments. Represent the CEO when required.  
STRATEGIC PLANNING
Coordinate and execute strategic initiatives, providing progress updates to the CEO. Lead the annual strategic planning process, ensuring alignment across the leadership team. Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).  
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Oversee large, cross-functional, organization-wide projects. Collaborate with stakeholders to drive decision-making and streamline operations. Conduct research, analyze data, benchmark processes, and provide strategic recommendations.  
OFFICE OF THE CEO MANAGEMENT
Lead and manage personnel, administrative tasks, and project deliverables effectively.
