Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary of $97,100.00 - $161,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

RapidScale, a Cox Business company, is hiring a Business Intelligence Manager to support the RapidScale business analytics team. The Business Intelligence Manager is an integral part of the analytical engine for the high-growth managed services company, where you will use your skills to build tools and analyses to drive insights and effective decision making by the Company’s leaders. Primarily supporting the Company’s Operations, you will partner with leaders throughout the customer lifecycle to define and publish KPI’s, build effective and metrics-driven capacity planning processes, and interweave operational performance within the broader company performance story.

Responsibilities:

Leverage various business data sources to extract meaningful insights and communicate findings and recommendations to operational leadership.

Own and maintain analytical roadmap for operations, effectively working with leaders to prioritize projects and deliver on roadmap timelines.

Manage full analytics development lifecycle, including gathering requirements, solutions proposal, and implementation and release self-service analytics tools or dashboards for easy-to-use insights by applying advanced analytics methodologies.

Track and report on use of reporting, dashboards and tools, and drive stronger utilization through incremental updates and improvements.

Operate as the Subject Matter Expert throughout RapidScale and Cox Business for operational KPI definitions, performance and trends.

Work with existing analytics team to improve roadmap and documentation processes, helping build the team’s ability to scale quickly with the business.

Research and analyze product, delivery, or other business and/or competitive macroeconomic trends to identify opportunities for improved customer experience and more efficient service delivery.

Build a strong understanding of existing RapidScale data assets and technologies, and collaborate with other teams within Cox Business to effectively share relevant data and insights.

Demonstrate intellectual curiosity while minimizing "analysis paralysis."

Challenges assumptions and status quo to optimize analysis.

Support stakeholders understanding of what happened, why, and what to do now.

Able to perform the duties above with limited Manager oversight, proactively looking for ways to optimize existing solutions.

Work with Manager and direct line of leadership to define priorities, must be able to deliver against business goals working both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Guide other analysts on the proper use of advanced techniques/technologies and validate their work.

Ensure data governance best practices.

Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 6 years’ experience in a related field (i.e. direct experience with analytics, reporting, data mining, advanced analytical modeling, and data visualization.)  The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 4 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 10 years’ experience in a related field

Ability to be successful within a fast paced, complex, matrixed environment.

Skilled at bringing together qualitative and quantitative information and analyses to deliver a well-rounded story about our marketing performance, outside influences, and recommendations with next steps.

Experience with relevant data querying, statistical programming languages, and data visualization products.

Strong ability to translate data into captivating stories for non-technical audiences.

Experience managing and executing large and complex data projects from start to finish, including: data gathering, synthesis and modeling, problem solving, communication of insights and recommendations. Sets proper delivery expectations and proactively communicates challenges or delays.

Team management or large analytics team experience.

Exhibits strong project management skills.

Intellectually curious; not afraid to challenge assumptions and status quo to drive effective analysis.

Preferred: 

SQL, Python, and PowerBI experience.

Data pipeline development and management
