Southern Veterinary Partners (SVP) is looking for highly motivated students to join a data-driven, problem solving team environment and complete a summer internship at our rapidly growing company in Birmingham, Alabama. Unlike many traditional internships, this unique position requires collaboration with most departments across the organization, and will provide exposure to c-level executives and corporate strategy. These individuals’ analyses and recommendations will help influence key strategic decisions in a rapidly-growing $1B+ Revenue organization. Responsibilities Use industry leading analytics platforms including Power BI, DAX Studio, Salesforce, etc., to manipulate and analyze data Build efficiencies and predictive analytics to create industry-leading execution time from opportunity discovery to operational response Leverage breadth of access and information to develop hypotheses and forecasts for both company and industry-level macro trends Sharpen technical and professional skills while learning from subject matter experts across the department Support a project-based environment where teams work together to rapidly solve the most pressing and highest value problems across the organization Present findings to and recommendations to Senior Leadership Team Requirements Progress towards Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics, Business, Statistics, Information Science, or Engineering (Graduate Degree Preferred) Self-starter with strong analytical skills including the ability to interpret data, question the results, generate insights, and execute solutions Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and supply consistent results Outstanding skills in Excel; experience in VBA, SQL, R, or other coding platform preferred Available to work full-time during summer 2024 Able to work 10 weeks during summer 2025
