Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE), Supply Chain Outbound Execution
We are looking for an outstandingly talented, analytical, driven, experienced BIE that can excel both at an operational level and at driving strategic initiatives with senior management. As a BIE, you will own the validation of the Erasmus forecast which is an Origin-Destination forecast that is used in the planning of middle and last mile transportation capacity. This means that at an operational level, you are responsible for the development of a capacity feasible plan requiring alignment across different stakeholders (Analytics, S&OP, GTS Network Planning, ATS Sort Center team). At strategic level, you will be responsible for driving operational improvement and change initiatives in collaboration with multiple stakeholders and in alignment with senior management.

This is a highly visible position, based out of our European headquarters in Luxembourg, critical to the company's operations and forward capability as we continue the fast-paced growth and scale-up of our fulfillment network.

The Continental Europe (CEU: Germany, Poland, France, Italy, Spain) Supply Chain team works closely with Amazon’s Fulfillment Centers (FCs), Transportation, Retail and Finance teams, orchestrating the upstream and downstream partners to exceed customer expectations while optimizing end-to-end supply chain speed and cost.

Key job responsibilities
o Key member of the CEU S&OP and Execution team managing the Erasmus weekly forecast.
o Run the full weekly Erasmus planning process:
- Validate the volatile inputs that feed into Erasmus.
- Align with Middle and Last Mile transportation stakeholders to ensure a feasible plan.
- Integrate known future events and constraint management into a weekly planning process routine
- Set and deliver goals relating to forecast accuracy and process timelines.
o Build a root cause bridge of forecast deviations at weekly/daily level
o Define the playbook outlining levers (and their entitlement) to steer actuals towards the forecast.
o Drive strategic operational (e.g. process, tools, etc.) and development initiatives. This implies being the bridge between business and tech teams, translating functional needs into technical requirements.
o Present operational and project updates to senior management via WBR.
