Role Definition

Join the Global Machine Pricing (GMP) team as a Business Intelligence Analyst.  Collaborate with business partners to identify analytical needs and develop solutions.  Utilize data to create visuals and automate manual processes that empower organizational leaders to make better and more informed decisions.  Provide consultation for analytics across GMP.

What You will Do

Contribute to multi-person analytics team within Global Machine Pricing (GMP)Work with business partners to understand analytics needs and devise appropriate solution (ex: dashboard, one-time report, automated report, etc.)Partner with analytics team members and/or act as a project lead on complex and visible projectsLocate and obtain data from various internal sourcesCreate and improve visual reports using PowerBI and Snowflake SQLDevelop tools to automate manual reports and processesCreate technical specifications and requirements in support of work

Top Candidates Will Also Have

Technical background using datasets in SQLExperience creating visuals in PowerBIAbility to collect required business data through various data sources and apply data analysis techniques to establish, modify, and maintain business data structuresStrong communication skills with the ability to explain work to business partners with limited data knowledgeExperience working in an ambiguous environment with unclear expectations, changing requirements, and conflictExperience with project management concepts including project charters, scheduling and planning projects and successful completion2+ years of business insights and automation related experience preferred

Summary Pay Range:

$95,640.00 - $143,520.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
