The KLA Services team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The KLA Services organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.

Job Description

Continuous improvement of spares analytics platforms: Our business supports a wide range of spare parts profiles and a wide array of customers with different needs. We are continuously looking to evolve and optimize our approach to support our spare parts needs at the right inventory investment, at the right cost, for the optimal customer experience.  This requires extensive analytics platforms for quick/deep insights across the many disciplines of our spares supply chain.  This will help inform critical decisions whether at the individual planner level day to day or at the level of our enterprise system configuration.

Below is what you will be doing to drive improvements to our analytics capabilities:

Collaborate with our business domain experts to understand their respective challenges and work to architect and build our more complex data driven solutions and platforms for faster and more informed decision making.This will include work in our Snowflake environment for extensive engineering/shaping of our data (heavy in SQL) to be ingested into downstream analytics platforms.  May require additional work to incorporate Python/R advanced modeling scripts developed by Data Science individuals into data flows.The analytics solutions and platforms to be developed will typically be Power BI models which require development of complex semantic models and DAX measures that provide flexible and interactive visuals/pages enabling users to quickly drill into insights.Analytics development will support to our service supply chain organization day-to-day processes and workflows, support our enterprise level system configuration decisions, as well as support exploratory work in our efforts to continuously evolve the optimization of inventory investment vs logistics costs vs customer experience.Provide support to other individuals across the team and organization to build their Power BI skillsets as they also develop BI solutions for their respective domains.

Qualifications

Educational background in Data Science, Data Analytics, IT or relatedManufacturing, Supply Chain, Military or related industry experience requiredDemonstrated ability to collaborate with business users and stakeholders, building strong knowledge of respective business domains and building strong working relationshipsStrong skills in developing Power BI models, including ability to tie disparate data sources and create complex and dynamic DAX measures that seamlessly enable end user interaction via thoughtfully constructed pages/visuals.Skilled in writing SQL in order to apply fairly involved data shaping / engineering prior to feeding into downstream analytics platformsDemonstrated ability to communicate technical information to management and non-technical business partnersDemonstrated ability to collaborate with team members to share knowledge and interconnect solutions

Nice to Have's:

Background in Supply ChainExperience with SnowflakeExperience in conducting analysis and/or ETL with a scripting language such as Python or R.

Bachelor’s degree with +5 years’ work experience, OR Master’s degree with +3 years’ work experience
