HSE Manager/Country HSE Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance in your assigned area of responsibility to cultivate a collaborative culture with an intensive focus on HSE. Each day, you will support the business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge and offering solutions and advice. You will also showcase your specialized HSE knowledge by ensuring effective risk management through robust HSE practices along the ABB value chain.The work model for the role is: #LI – Onsite.This role is contributing to the Process Automation in Energy division in India Region.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tImplementing policies, standards, and compliance with audit programs.•\tAssisting line managers and supervisors in understanding and fulfilling HSE obligations as per local laws and ABB policies.•\tReporting progress on ABB Group Sustainability goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) to the Business HSE Manager.•\tConducting and facilitating HSE risk assessments with site teams and ensuring all processes are effectively implemented.•\tPromoting behavioral change through local coordination of Group-wide performance improvement programs and cultivating an HSE culture.•\tEnsuring availability and proper use of safety equipment and tools, as well as initiating and delivering training programs.•\tEngaging stakeholders and business partners to enhance HSE awareness, involvement, and overall performance.

Qualifications for the role

\tHighly skilled in HSE management, risk assessment, and compliance with industry and legal standards.\t8 to 10 years of experience in HSE Management and Systems, skillfully managing stakeholder engagement and training facilitation.\tB.E. / B. Tech (Mechanical/Electrical) from a reputed university, along with a Diploma in Industrial Safety or NEBOSH-IGC Diploma.\tStrong ability to coordinate and participate in all aspects of HSE Management, including incident investigation and performance tracking.\tProficient communication (verbal and written) skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and encourage behavioral change.\tPractical experience in implementing HSE culture, ensuring proper use of safety equipment, and participating in performance improvement programs.
