First Look - Business Development Representative at The Arena Group:
We are seeking a motivated, strategic, and coachable Business Development Representative to join our dynamic sales team. The ideal candidate will have a hunger for success, the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities, and a foundational understanding of programmatic advertising. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with significant growth potential. This position is based in our NYC office at 230 Park Ave.
The Arena Group’s expected annualized base salary range for this position is currently $110,000 - $150,000. Actual salaries will vary based on multiple factors including location, education, experience and other factors permitted by law. The listed salary range is but one component of The Arena Group’s total compensation and benefits available to its employees.
What You’ll Do:
Prospecting: Identify, research, and generate new leads, using strategic methods to approach potential clients.
Client Engagement: Build relationships with prospective customers (at agencies, DSP’s, client direct) and understand their business challenges to present tailored solutions.
Pipeline Management: Maintain an organized and up-to-date pipeline, tracking all client interactions and progress toward sales goals.
Continuous Learning: Be open to coaching, feedback, and development opportunities to continuously enhance your sales skills.
Revenue: meet and exceed revenue targets while focusing on driving profitable growth
Direct Sales: Own inbound RFP’s and work cross functionally with ops, marketing to build and close IO based campaigns for major brands and agencies.
Programmatic Expertise: Leverage your understanding of programmatic advertising to address client needs and deliver effective solutions.
Retail/Commerce: Identify, research, and establish relationships with client direct and agency partners overseeing affiliate marketing budgets and work to provide unique solutions across the Arena Group collection of brands.
What You’ll Bring:
3+ years of digital media experience, with direct experience in sales or business development, preferably in digital advertising or the programmatic media ecosystem.
Foundational understanding of programmatic advertising and its applications.
Strong prospecting and cold outreach skills, with a proven ability to build and manage a sales pipeline.
Highly motivated and driven, with a "hunter" mentality to find and close new business opportunities.
Strategic thinker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with a desire to be a subject matter expert within The Arena Group.
