Business Development Representative

Location: USA—Possibility to work from home #LI-Remote

mdf commerce Inc. is an international team of approximately 650 experts who develop a broad set of SaaS solutions to optimize and accelerate commercial interactions of its B2B and B2G customers.

Working in the eprocurement sector, we are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating qualified leads and opportunities for our sales team by proactively reaching out to potential clients, nurturing relationships, and understanding their procurement needs.

What will your main responsibilities look like?

In this role, you will be led to:

Lead Generation: Identify and research potential clients within the public sector, including government agencies, municipalities, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations.Outreach: Utilize various channels such as phone calls, emails, social media, and networking events to engage with key decision makers and influencers.Qualification: Conduct thorough qualification of leads to ensure alignment with our target market and solution offerings.Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospects through consistent communication and value-added interactions.Pipeline Management: Keep accurate records of all interactions and activities in our CRM system, and effectively manage your sales pipeline to meet or exceed targets.Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop strategies, refine messaging, and optimize lead generation efforts.Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes affecting the public sector procurement space.

What elements of your professional background will be necessary and useful in this role?

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.English native, French is an asset.Proven track record of success in a business development or sales role, preferably within the software or technology industry.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.Self-motivated with a proactive mindset and a drive to achieve targets and objectives.Experience using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong) and other sales tools is a plus.Knowledge of public sector procurement processes and regulations is desirable but not required.
