Job Description
Are you passionate about identifying and pursuing new opportunities? We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to lead the charge for our revolutionary product in Subsurface Mapping, GroundIQ.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in expanding our global footprint within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sector, focusing on key priority markets, including infrastructure, energy, and critical minerals. As the driving force behind scaling GroundIQ, you will shape sales strategies and lead their development within our cross-regional teams. Your contributions will be integral to the overall growth strategy, demonstrating ambition and energy to penetrate new markets and client types. GroundIQ requires a technical consultancy sales approach focused on understanding client needs and solving engineering challenges, not merely data gathering. Be prepared for 30-50% global travel to manage and develop sales strategies across regions.
About GroundIQ
GroundIQ is an innovative solution for mapping and modeling subsurface conditions faster, easier, and more sustainably. By combining advanced ground imaging with targeted geotechnical observations, it reduces the need for extensive exploratory site investigations, enabling engineers to make data-driven decisions for improved ground risk management globally. GroundIQ has proven its effectiveness through successful commercial pilots with key clients and presentations at strategic geotechnical conferences.
Your role:
You develop and implement sales strategies for GroundIQ within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sector;
You build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients to identify potential areas of growth;
You expand the global footprint of GroundIQ in key priority markets including infrastructure, energy, and critical minerals. Conduct business development activities such as client visits, presentations, and attending industry-related trade shows;

You work closely with internal teams on proposal development and collateral material;
You utilize a strong industry network to enable sales and track industry trends, regulations, and emerging prospects;
You track client feedback and ensure commitments to clients are met;
You inspire and motivate cross-regional teams to achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall growth strategy of the company.
Your track record
You hold a degree in a civil-related discipline and have a comprehensive understanding of the entire asset development cycle, making you proficient in discussing geo-risk management with senior/executive clients;
You have exceptional client management skills, allowing you to adeptly navigate the AEC industry to identify geo-data value;
You have a robust industry network and can expand it for successful sales. Ideally, you have worked as a consultant for one of the international engineering consultancy firms;
You have a proven track record in developing project opportunities;
Your comprehensive understanding of diverse markets, along with your vigilance in tracking industry trends, regulations, and emerging prospects, sets you apart.
