**The role**
This is a field-based role that requires travel to clients in Denmark. The Business Development Manager will ensure Abbott Rapid Diagnostics leads in the development of Point of Care testing within both primary and secondary care settings. This role requires managing and influencing a wide variety of key stakeholders and access pathways.
Location: Copenhagen, Denmark.
**Responsibilities**
+ Serve as the point of contact for distributor support in Denmark.
+ Acquire new business and strengthen the presence and development of the market and key customers.
+ Achieve sales targets, identify opportunities for growth, and provide added value services to customers, key stakeholders, and distributors.
+ Develop and execute the Infectious Diseases Abbott Rapid Diagnostic Point of Care product portfolio and strategy in Denmark.
+ Initiate and lead specific country projects in close collaboration with the Nordic ID team, demonstrating excellent business acumen and striving to meet and exceed agreed financial and strategic objectives.
+ Execute in-field market access initiatives and engage with key strategic stakeholders.
+ Build strong relationships, network, and engage with key stakeholders.
+ Maintain a solid overview and insights of the Danish marketplace and capture future trends.
+ Participate in relevant exhibitions and congresses, staying up-to-date on sales excellence, disease, and product knowledge.
+ Articulate issues and business opportunities with relevant customers to secure long-term strategic business opportunities.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in business, biological chemistry, or a related field.
+ Proficiency in IT, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems, is required.
+ Fluency in Danish and strong communication skills in English are essential.
**We are seeking** an entrepreneurial, high-caliber self-starter who is proficient in dealing with both primary and secondary care customers and key stakeholders at all levels. The ideal candidate will possess solid disease and product knowledge, collaborative skills, and a proven track record in sales effectiveness and excellence. They should have an extensive key stakeholder network and customer relations, preferably within Point of Care, and demonstrate solid insights into the Danish marketplace, access and competitive environment, tenders, and trends.
The successful candidate will be a skilled and experienced negotiator with a winning mindset, consistently achieving high results in the healthcare sales arena. They will be a team player, collaborative, and embody pioneering, enduring, caring, and achieving qualities. A high scientific knowledge level and a drive for personal development are essential. This role will contribute to the growth of Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Point of Care by identifying and prioritizing key growth opportunities, engaging key stakeholders, and executing key sales and access initiatives in the field.
