Business Development Manager

Our client is committed to the delivery of Data & AI, Application and Infrastructure services that consistently meet and exceed customer's expectations. They are looking for a skilled and experienced Business Development Manager to join their team. The Business Development Manager is responsible for initiating contact with potential clients, responding to RFPs, and developing sales in new territories. The role involves driving business growth by identifying new market opportunities and establishing strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Contact potential clients and arrange meetings.Generate leads and cold call prospective customers.Meet clients face-to-face or via phone.Plan and oversee new marketing initiatives.Increase the value of existing customers while attracting new ones.Find and develop new markets to improve sales.Develop and present quotes and proposals.Negotiate with stakeholders and close deals.Develop growth strategies and plans.Set and achieve goals for business development.Attend conferences and industry events.Follow industry trends locally and internationally.Report on successes and areas needing improvement.Identify and map business strengths and customer needs.


Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Sales marketing, business administration or related course.Over 10 years of experience in business development/sales with regional sales experienceUnderstanding of the financial ecosystem and financial technologies in East Africa, especially in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.Relevant experience from SW/technology companies, fintech, or financial institutions focused on digital banking or global transactions.Must have a previous regional responsibility in East African markets.Persuasive CommunicationBusiness AcumenExcellent Planning and Organizing skillsCustomer Orientation skills.Decision Making skills.International MindsetDiagnostic Information Gathering
