Job Description

The successful incumbent will form part of OMIG's Retail Client Management team, and will be responsible for supporting and promoting Old Mutual Investment Group funds in the retail investment market.

Key Result Areas

Acts as regional technical specialist for all queries related to Old Mutual Investment Group funds via the PF channels (BD, AFD & PFA) and all external planners via LISPs and DFMs.Assist planners, internal investment specialists and LISP BDMs to choose most appropriate funds to meet their clients' investment objectives.Work closely with all distribution channels to strengthen the Old Mutual Investment Group brand amongst planners and clients.Identify opportunities to promote and utilize Old Mutual Investment Group funds.Work closely with fund managers to understand fund positioning and interpret this in a market-appropriate mannerAssists the distribution channels (tied and independent) in strengthening the OMIG brand amongst targeted planners and potential clients.Assists with the development of sales staff in terms of product knowledge, industry knowledge, competitor knowledge, product positioning and sales abilities.Partner with Internal distribution channels (tied and independent) to identifying synergistic opportunities with planners to utilize OM products and services.Partner with Internal distribution channels (tied and independent) in retaining existing business.Work alongside the Wealth distribution team to ensure we get to the correct planners across the distribution channels.Maintain accurate and up to date client/planner, and activity data on CRM system.Strategic utilisation of client and planner data to plan efficient client and planner engagements that drives new business into OMIG funds and retain existing business in OMIG funds.

Requirements: Skills, Qualifications and Experience required

BComm or equivalent3-5 years of experience within Asset ManagementProven track record in marketing funds or similar relevant experienceCFP advantageousExperience in CRM system utilisation advantageous
