JOB TITLE: Business Development Manager

DEPARTMENT: Commercial & Industrial (Fleet)

REPORTING TO: Regional Sales Director LOCATION: South Africa

ADDITIONAL INFO: Must have own reliable transport and drivers’ license.

Will be required to travel.

\n

PURPOSE OF POSITION

\n

The primary objective is to drive profitable growth of Commercial products and solutions in line with the accelerated growth strategy. Is responsible to assist the Commercial business unit grow its market share within the commercial sector through strategic initiatives that will result in revenue growth in the country.

\n

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

\n\nGrow revenue through defining and driving strategic sales initiatives.\nDrive new customer growth and ensure cultivation of strategic customer relationships.\nContinuous growth of the sales funnel, accurately capture on Salesforce and ensure effective close out rate.\nConduct market research and provide solid field and marketing strategy to grow the commercial business. \nResponsible for resolution of key customer complaints and follow ups.\nStakeholder management - become the single point of contact for his/her portfolio.\nCompile product preparations and solution proposals to expose commercial customers to full GVR product basket and obtain buy in.\nExecute on projected forecast to achieve predetermined revenue and funnel targets.\nHave a 360 view of all account activities globally and inform business of any key developments.\nSales administration and reporting.\nFollow-up on accounts receivable.\n

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 

\n

Education/achievements   

\n\nTertiary qualification in Engineering / Sales and Marketing or related.\nPostgraduate qualification in Engineering.\nHonour’s/master’s degree will be an added advantage\n\n

Experience/Knowledge        

\n\nAt least 5 years proven track record in solution selling.            \nExtensive solution sales experience preferably in the commercial sector.\nExposure to commercial sales / KAM may be advantageous.\n\n

\n\nNegotiation skills\nGreat at navigating customer negotiations, considering both short term and long-term implications, and landing deals that are win/win for the customer and the business\nPresentation skills\nComfortable presenting in front of customer groups with diverse backgrounds (commercial, technical, senior executive)\nAnalytical skills\nComfortable consuming customer, market, and business data to derive insights useful in driving business growth and solving business problems\nResults orientated\nDrives innovation and growth \nCustomer oriented\nSolution sales\nSelf-motivated and great interpersonal skills\n\n
