Business Development Executive (CDMO)

Reports to: Head of Korea BD Team

Group / Division: Pharma Services Group (PSG)

Location: South Korea

About the Role

We need a proactive and motivated Business Development Executive to boost the expansion of our CDMO services in South Korea. In this role, you will engage with pharmaceutical clients, uncover their needs, and drive new business opportunities within an assigned territory. You will partner with customers across the PSG organization and the local TFS Korea team to deliver innovative solutions that supply to a healthier, cleaner, and safer world.

Key Responsibilities

Develop Strong Client Relationships

Build a deep understanding of existing customers, their market landscape, and business challenges.

Identify new opportunities and establish valuable partnerships to expand our presence.

Drive Sales Growth & Strategy

Develop strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand business within assigned accounts.

Lead negotiations, close new deals, and ensure seamless integration of contracts into operations.

Conduct competitive analysis to identify areas of differentiation and potential growth.

Account Leadership & Customer Support

Serve as the primary account leader, ensuring a structured approach to meeting customer expectations.

Provide ongoing support, including issue resolution, business reviews, and contract management.

Monitor and forecast sales performance, ensuring timely follow-ups on opportunities and leads.

Market Expansion & Business Intelligence

Maintain senior-level relationships with customers to understand their outsourcing strategies.

Track industry trends, including potential manufacturing consolidations, divestitures, and expansion plans.

Keep all sales activities updated in Salesforce.com for accurate reporting and strategic decision-making.

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.

Equivalent work experience will be considered.

Experience & Knowledge:

10+ years of validated experience in the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry (CDMO, clinical trials, or commercial development preferred).

Strong understanding of drug product CDMO services (Oral Solid and Sterile dosage forms).

Prior experience in technical-based sales or business development is a plus.

Core Skills & Abilities:

Highly motivated and dynamic professional.

Strong communication skills with business-level English proficiency (verbal & written).

Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.com for sales tracking and presentations.

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
