Business Development Executive

A Business Development Executive’s main responsibility is to find, engage, and develop contacts with new clients for The Graham Company.

JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Actively seek out new business opportunities through strategic lead generation activity.Qualify accounts to ensure prospects meet Graham Company underwriting and revenue criteria. Determine appropriate avenue for engagement and contact potential clients through cold calls, emails, or other forms of communication. Establish rapport with potential clients and communicate Graham Company’s value proposition.Represent Graham Company culture, uphold standards for professionalism, integrity, passion for excellence, and the commitment to serving our clients.Coordinate meetings between prospective clients and Producers.Work closely with Producers in handing off the account; re-engage with prospects as requested by the Producers on the account.Attend conferences and other professional events to develop relationships with new contacts.Actively maintain and grow professional network.Identify new, strategic marketing opportunities and act a liaison between Graham Company’s Marketing and Production teams to develop campaigns.Meet quarterly prospecting goals; produce reports on business development activity.Pursue a program for personal and professional development and maintain appropriate state licenses.Perform other duties and projects assigned by Graham Company managerial personnel.Attend meetings relating to your position.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

College degree preferred and three (3) or more years of business experience.Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated sales skills or potential.Strong sense of urgency, driven, results oriented.Ability to manage multiple objectives in a fast-paced environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong public speaking and presentation skills.Ability to exercise independent discretion and judgment.Excellent management skills and ability to deal with people.High level of organizational ability, self-discipline, and motivation.Holds required and appropriate insurance agent’s license.Professional demeanor.Regular and predictable attendance in accordance with the limitations and reporting procedures established by The Graham Company from time to time.Maintain a valid Driver’s License or alternate efficient and effective means to visit clients/prospects.Proficient in Graham standard computer applications.Employees are required to be fit-for-duty which includes not being under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. This includes any drugs that might impact an employee’s ability to safely perform their job.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $61,000 to $113,600.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
