Why this role is important:

The Business Development Consultant will be responsible for generating new business and driving revenue growth across all Kantar solutions.

The Business Development function is influential in fundamentally enabling Kantar in its increase in commercial behaviour across the whole of Kantar. You will collaborate with our Insights experts and Client Delivery teams to identify and pursue sales opportunities, leveraging Kantar’s unique market research solutions.

What you'll be doing:

Significantly grow and generate new business year on year, by achieving annual sales goals and revenue targets.

Drive sales across all solutions by articulating compelling value propositions.

Collaborative selling, working closely with the Product Leads, Solution Area Leads, Client Leads, and the broader business areas across Kantar.

Create and execute against a sales action plan, targeting clients and prospects that would benefit from Kantar's innovative solutions.

Track all sales activity through relevant tools, from prospecting and qualification to closing.

Actively scope out new business opportunities, with new logos and new client buying points, through your established network, CRM tools, data analysis, and current knowledge of the market research landscape.

Respond with great speed and thoughtfulness to inbound leads and maximise your sales list potential.

Lead client conversations and demonstrations on the transformative potential of our solutions and platforms (such as Kantar Marketplace), focusing on unique selling propositions with a keen eye toward competitors.

Work within a matrix structure to harness the capabilities our client leads and solution experts to win.

Handle in-depth knowledge of products and technologies, competitors, and market conditions, while pulling in the relevant Kantar domain experts to close the sale.

Your key outcomes:

Achievement of annual sales and profitability targets; optimisation of your sales conversions.

Unlock new business with new buying points within existing clients.

Strong pipeline of activity with prospects for new and established clients for driving year over year growth – achieving outreach, demo, and sales targets.

Active participant in Sales Pushes, both locally and globally, levering existing solutions as well as maximising new solution/platform feature launches.

The skills and experience you'll need:

3+ years of commercial experience within Market Research (agency or client side).

Proven experience selling market research solutions or marketing technology, with a track record of exceeding sales goals and revenue targets.

Strong ability to identify profitable opportunities and build long-term strategic client relationships.

A commercial "hunter" mindset, with and eagerness to follow through on leads and the persuasive skills to influence strategic decision-making.

Good listener and flexible narrator who systematically adapts their communication to their audience.

Adaptable and open to new content and unforeseen circumstances; comfortable with a consultative sales process.

Exceptional ability to collaborate effectively within a matrix structure in order to harness the capabilities of our experts to craft a winning proposal.

Strategic client partner who systematically solves complex problems and identifies clients' pain points, expectations, and implicit business needs.
