Key Responsibilities:
Acquisition Support: Evaluate and support acquisition opportunities, ensuring project viability and optimal design.Asset Evaluation: Analyze and update financial models for development assets in collaboration with the project finance team.Negotiation Assistance: Assist in acquisition negotiations and due diligence to ensure project constructability.Market Research: Investigate state and ISO/RTO market programs and incentives to enhance project valuations.Stakeholder Support: Address acquisition-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.Business Plan Development: Aid in developing and vetting business plans and financial models.Internal Coordination: Support the headquarters team in obtaining necessary internal approvals.Competitive Analysis: Assist in developing competitive pricing strategies and conducting market analysis.Material Preparation: Coordinate materials for project finance and sell-down activities.Strategic Contribution: Contribute to budget planning and long-term strategy development.RFP and Contract Support: Assist with RFP responses and contract negotiations.Due Diligence: Support due diligence efforts with internal and external experts to de-risk opportunities and ensure accurate financial models.Consultant Engagement: Manage engagements with consultants and oversee contract negotiations.Special Projects: Work on projects to improve processes, develop strategies for emerging markets, structure creative deals, and assist in portfolio analysis and asset financing. Candidate ProfileQualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Engineering, or related discipline required – Master’s degree preferred.Experience:Minimum of 2 years of experience working in the energy industry – Experience with renewable energy projects preferred.Knowledge of energy storage fundamentals and wholesale electricity markets, tariffs, market rules.Demonstrated ability to support utility-scale project development through intensive financial modelling, design optimization and development support.Skills:Solid oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to take personal initiative while working effectively within a team.Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.Ability to quickly adapt to new tasks and workstreams in a dynamic, fast-paced professional environment.Why Join Us?
