Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Business Data Analyst to join the Data Center Power & Control Division Team in Reno, NV. Under the direction of the Operational Excellence Manager, the Business Data Analyst will support various Legrand DPC North American Operations departments by providing data analysis and reporting. The Data Analyst will leverage expertise in Power BI, SAP, and SQL to gather, analyze, and present key business metrics that drive operational efficiency, improve decision-making, and support strategic planning. The Business Data Analyst, as with all members of the Legrand Team, is expected to promote a positive work environment, demonstrate initiative, professionalism, personal awareness, integrity, and exercise confidentiality.

 

What Will You Do?

Collect and analyze data from multiple sources, including SAP, to identify patterns, forecast trends, and recommend actionable improvements.Design and develop interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards in Power BI to communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends.Prepare data for regular management reporting, including monthly and quarterly performance reviews, as well as strategic planning sessions.Maintain and improve existing reporting tools, ensuring that data visualization and reporting standards are consistently applied.Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline data collection and reporting processes.Generate comprehensive reports for forecasted demand to ensure buffer profiles and strategic inventory levels on components and finished goods are maintained.Develop detailed reports on top customer accounts.Display original thinking and creativity; Meet challenges with resourcefulness; Generate suggestions for improving work; Develop innovative approaches and ideas.Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills

 

Education:   

Bachelor's degree from a four-year College or University with an emphasis in business analytics, data science, information technology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:  

Minimum 3 years of related experience in a data analysis role.Experience in developing and leading continuous improvement initiatives. Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

Expertise in Power BI for data visualization, reporting, and dashboard creation.Proficiency in SAP, with the ability to pull data, perform analysis, and generate reports.Preference for proficiency in SQL for data extraction and reporting.Computer proficient with working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel/Outlook/Teams/PowerPoint), with a focus on data manipulation and presentation.Develop and maintain all relevant reports including extracting raw data from a variety of software platforms, compiling data into actionable information, and presenting to senior leadership to facility data-driven decisions.Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to provide information across multiple groups in the Company including Production, Finance, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales.Ability to handle multiple tasks along with excellent time management skills and customer service skills.Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to work indepen
