Job Summary

The Business Coordinator provides support for a variety of business functions including but not limited to financial transactions, travel accounting and procurement processes for all areas assigned within the Division of the Chief Information Officer. The coordinator assists the Sr. Business Manager and Sr. Business Administrator to ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions in accordance with Institute policies and protocols and monitoring the Portfolio’s Operating Budget to assist in budget forecasting and monthly reporting.

Minimum Qualifications

HS Diploma or equivalent Five (5) years of directly related experience, additional education or training

Relevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s degree in related field

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Proficiency in MS Office Suite Demonstrated oral and written communication skills Planning, organizing and effective time management skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives Ability to anticipate and solve problems Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines Ability to work as individually or as part of a team Strong attention to detail

Shift

Business Hours: Monday - Friday

Starting Salary/Rate

Expected hiring range: $20.00- $23.80

Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate’s salary will be determined based on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate’s qualifications, experience, education and other job-related credentials. This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer’s good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting.
