Business Architect
Description We are looking for an experienced Business Architect to play a key role in developing and implementing a robust business architecture framework. This long-term contract position requires someone who excels at identifying opportunities for improvement, optimizing processes, and aligning them with organizational goals. Based in Auburn, Maine, this role offers a chance to make a significant impact on business operations and strategic alignment. Responsibilities: • Define and document core business capabilities, processes, and information flows to establish a baseline for the current business architecture. • Develop detailed maps of business units, outlining their functions and interdependencies. • Conduct analyses to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats within various business units. • Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to gather insights and uncover potential areas for improvement. • Use data analytics to identify trends and hidden opportunities within the organization. • Evaluate existing metrics and KPIs to ensure alignment with business objectives and meaningful performance insights. • Perform value stream analysis to locate inefficiencies and bottlenecks in processes. • Implement Lean methodologies to identify and eliminate waste in workflows. • Develop a comprehensive target operating model that aligns processes and systems with strategic goals. • Create and execute change management plans to support transitions and ensure stakeholder buy-in. Requirements • Proven expertise in business analysis, process optimization, and change management. • Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making. • Proficiency in using data analytics tools to uncover trends and insights. • Familiarity with Lean methodologies for process improvement. • Excellent communication and facilitation skills for engaging with stakeholders. • Ability to design and implement metrics, KPIs, and reporting frameworks. • Experience in developing operating models and aligning systems with strategic objectives. • Knowledge of benchmarking practices to compare performance against industry standards.
