Are you only a year from finishing school and looking for an exciting career opportunity with Siemens? Our unique Dual Education program prepares you for future leadership roles in the company. The Siemens Certified Education & Talent Academy (SCETA) program combines theory and practice in a work-integrated learning program (WILP) geared towards technical and professional students. It offers students a wide array of technical, interpersonal, and business acumen training and places them in roles within various industry units within Siemens Canada.

The SCETA program starts with a 3-week paid orientation, and students complete two summer work terms beginning in May 2025. Once their SCETA terms are complete, proficient students may be hired full-time with Siemens.

What will you do?

Siemens SI EP (Smart Infrastructure Electrical Products) is a business unit within Siemens Smart Infrastructure. Our business focuses on providing a comprehensive range of electrical products and solutions for various applications. These products and solutions enhance electrical infrastructure's efficiency, reliability, and safety in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

As a Business Rotational Intern, you will be critical in helping Siemens SI EP achieve high performance in developing data analytics and process optimization solutions. You will rotate through various departments, such as Project Management, Strategic Pricing, Sales and Finance, gaining a broad understanding of our EP business.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain diverse experience in Electrical Products and Smart Infrastructure and make a meaningful impact at Siemens. Perform data analysis to identify trends and efficiency opportunities to enable business growth Provide reliable and quality design solutions to various problems and requirements using sound problem-solving techniques. Offer suggestions and improve processes by utilizing an external perspective Add value and collaborate with a variety of teams within the Business unit Digitize various business processes, contributing to the development and implementation of digital solutions that streamline operations Assist with administrative tasks related to project management, including documentation, scheduling, and coordination to support overall efficiency

What will you need to succeed?

Pursuing a degree in Commerce, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering Experience with data analysis tools and Business Intelligence principles. Microsoft Suite, Tableau & Power BI Exposure to AI technologies is a plus Having financial and accounting acumen is a plus Strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills. Has the ability to advocate for oneself and on behalf of the team Proactively bringing fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to the table. Can tackle problems and create effective solutions. Using strategic thinking to overcome challenges and drive improvements.
