As a Business Analyst II, you will provide experience and leadership in planning strategic roadmaps, forming partnerships with business stakeholders, developing business cases, requirements gathering, design and documentation for technology-based solutions. The role is responsible for conducting research, interview and analysis of data in support of business cases and supporting enterprise strategic planning processes. You will analyze complete processes to identify and select opportunities to make major improvements. The position requires knowledge and abilities in information technology, business processes, system and process analysis, problem solving, and business case development.

Successful candidates will be expected to work on assigned tasks reporting progress to project leaders, coaches, supervisors and managers. They will follow and improve defined processes and methodologies; they will use and improve tools and techniques and may be expected to help draft or select tools as needed. Successful candidates will submit deliverables for review and acceptance, and they may be expected to review the work of others before work is accepted as complete. They will have demonstrated an ability to work without close supervision and are trusted advisors among team members and stakeholders.

How you will contribute:

Collaborate with product line manager to define and prioritize strategic initiatives Work with product line managers to create and update strategic roadmaps that align with the organization's goals and objectives. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders, highlighting insights and recommendations. Facilitate communications with business line leaders and other stakeholders to document business strategic initiatives Conduct risk assessments for new product initiatives and strategic plans Identify, propose, and assist in developing solutions to improve business processes and increase staff productivity. Propose and assist in improving business processes through integration, automation, system configuration, and new development. Work in a consultative manner with clients, users, and vendors to identify better ways to use technology. Research technologies, techniques, and other possible solutions to improve the business. Evaluate build-or-buy options, building business case for major expenditures. Prepare analytical reports and make presentations to facilitate the selection and decision-making process of firm leadership. Solicit needs and requirements information from project owners, end-users, and firm leadership. Conduct interviews to gather user requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods. Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team. Assist with the interpretation of user requirements into feasible options and communicating these back to the business stakeholders. Participate in the testing of internally developed and purchased solutions to ensure features and functions meet requirements and have been enabled and optimized. Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements-verbally or through written documentation-to technical product owners, project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood. Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements gathering processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes. Enable staff to effectively use technology through documentation and knowledge transfer.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalency required; Associate degree preferred 3 years or more with experience in a similar role Expert with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Visio Experience with Adobe CS and other software experience analyzing and documenting business processes Experience with software development, system selection, and system implementation projects Experience working with application and service vendors
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in an accounting firm, consulting firm, or law firm Experience with Jira
