You will be part of our Legal Data Engineering and Analytics team, a fun-loving, diverse team, with a broad range of cultures and backgrounds. You will work with teams across Legal, including Sales Legal, Global Compliance and Global Brand Protection, and others. You will engage with both leaders and individual contributors while collaborating across multi-functions at Cisco.
Your Impact
As the Senior Data Analyst, you’ll develop and deliver state-of-the-art solutions that drive executive decision-making and enable Cisco’s Legal Department to leverage innovative technologies such as GenAI. This role will focus on execution, making sure our data-system priorities are articulated and delivered. You will invent, craft, and implement end-to-end actionable intelligence solutions for our department that cover a wide range of areas, including corporate risk, partner and commercial sales, regulatory compliance, brand protection, commercial software piracy, digital fraud, and counterfeit. You will also play a meaningful role in crafting the data science vision and determining research priorities.
Minimum Qualifications
We are looking for someone who enjoys and embraces working with data. You will need to have a can-do attitude and a desire to see the team succeed.
* Experience supporting data projects and systems to generate key metrics and insights. Proficiency in resolving data integrity and hygiene issues.
* Possess expertise in data engineering and business intelligence methodologies, including data manipulation, cleaning, and visualization, with strong proficiency in data platforms (e.g. Snowflake). Additionally, experienced in utilizing data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
* Proven track record in planning and reviewing sprint work, including prioritizing and validating user stories, and developing test cases.
* Strong ability to interface with business stakeholders, developers, and QA engineers to gather and analyze business requirements, and develop comprehensive epics, features, and user stories, with a solid understanding of acceptance criteria and the Definition of Ready (DoR).
* Demonstrated experience in managing project backlogs and aligning with product owners to create and maintain a strategic roadmap.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics or Probability and Statistics, or 5+ years of data science experience with in descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive modeling techniques.
* Strong communication skills to effectively engage collaborators with limited data expertise and facilitate data-driven executive decisions.
* Skilled in programming languages like Python and data modeling skills with machine learning packages like PyTorch and Scikit Learn
* Good understanding in Generative AI use cases in Legal realm, and Natural Language Processing methodologies for text analysis, classification and clustering.
* Experience in analytical projects regarding Legal workflows and contract/matter management, and generating presentable results to increase effectiveness and efficiency of Legal operations.
