Business Analyst - Central Support
Job Summary:
The Business Analyst works within the Central Support & Predictive Intelligence (CS&PI) component of the MPC Strategy and Business Development (S&BD) organization. The analyst collaborates with business partners across the enterprise, gaining broad exposure to senior leaders, technical subject matter experts (SMEs), and internal peers across all business segments. This unique role is suited for a dynamic individual who excels in strategic thinking, business communications, and collaborative project management in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Narrative Development: Support the development of strategic narratives for MPC and MPLX Board Meeting materialsContent Development: Support the development and coordination of content for team meetings, training activities, and leadership courses in collaboration with other organizationsMultimedia Editing: Edit audio, video, and proofread a variety of materials for disseminationPresentation Support: Provide internal PowerPoint presentation support to S&BD colleagues to enhance overall messaging and align with Central Support’s standards for excellenceSharePoint Management: Manage the S&BD SharePoint site and associated communicationsArcGIS Mapping: Serve as the primary backup and additional resource for ArcGIS mapping and illustrative maps for internal useBusiness Intelligence News: Serve as the primary backup and additional resource for curating MPC’s daily business intelligence newsletterSkills:
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint is required; Proficiency with other Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel), and SharePoint; Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or related products, ArcGIS, and video editing software is a plusCommunication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal presence, and the ability to craft compelling narratives and presentationsProject Management: Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines; Proven ability to think critically and solve problems and progress initiatives, even when provided with incomplete information and/or ambiguous requirementsCollaboration: Proven ability to build and maintain partnerships and collaborate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders, including executivesDetail-Oriented: High attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of workCreative Thinking: Ability to contribute original thoughts and perspectives to communicate strategies effectively; Self-starter, naturally curious, and comfortable challenging the status quo;Curiosity: Desire to learn and grow business acumen and explore new opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and continual improvementEducation and Experience:
