Hybrid | Washington D.C. | 3-4 days a week Onsite

Summary

Our client is an employee and Service-Disabled, Veteran-owned Small Business focused on providing niche technical services. They are a team of experienced Cyber Security professionals with a track record of success in the Federal, Commercial, and Academic workspaces. Additionally, our client designs, builds, operates, and secures scalable cloud and IT infrastructures to meet their customers’ near-term needs and fulfill their long-term requirements.

 

Responsibilities

Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to ensure their IT products meet customer needs and align with business goals. The Business Analyst will support the mission by identifying, eliciting, and decomposing requirements, facilitating team and customer ceremonies, and fostering effective communication, both verbally and through written documentation. Operating in an Agile and DevSecOps environment, the role requires adapting to an evolving organization and delivering innovative and mission-critical software products.

Analyze and understand business needs and translate them into governance artifacts and product backlog itemsPerform AoAs and assess courses of action by factors such as value, cost, and feasibilityCreate and manage delivery schedules and product roadmapsGenerate and manage artifacts and knowledge basesGenerate and manage body of evidence (BOE) generation and submissionAssist in test planning and managementFacilitate and refine team ceremoniesIdentify, map, and track dependencies, both internal and externalCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient product development and deliveryUse product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and M365 for daily tasks

Requirements

2+ years of experience working on, or supporting a software development team or enterprise architecture organizationA Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is requiredExperience working in Agile and Scrum methodologiesFamiliarity with Cloud environments, particularly AWSExperience with Confluence and JiraExperience with the Microsoft 365 (M365) suiteExperience in backlog management, including Epic, Feature, and User Story developmentAbility to be on-site 60% of the time at a client SCIF in Washington D.C.Strong verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work effectively in a team

Preferred Requirements

Experience performing analysis of alternatives (AoAs)Familiarity with the Intelligence Community (IC) and intel cycleFamiliarity with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)Experience with Government risk management frameworks (RMF) and cybersecurity authorization processesMaster's degree or equivalent experience in a related fieldStrong experience in delivering valuable software products in an Agile environmentKnowledge of user research methodologies and the ability to derive actionable insightsExperience with cloud budgeting and forecastingRelevant certifications

Education/Certification Requirements

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required

Clearance Requirements

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a SCI is required. Please be aware that onboarding can take 4-6 weeks for this position.
