Date: Jan 15, 2025 Location: San Juan, PR Company: Popular Workplace Type: On-site Business Advisor | Payment Card Industry Job Type Full Time- Exempt General Description Play a key role in the development, evolution, and maturity of PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliance measures within the Credit Card Business environment and collaborate with other divisions within Popular to ensure credit card data is properly managed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Become a PCI subject matter expert. • Develop a training program of PCI principles, requirements, and security best practices applicable to the Credit Card Business operations. Promote awareness within the Credit Card Business and support units within Popular. • Document policies, procedures and/or standards related to the management of PCI data and establish monitoring procedures. • Document the Credit Cards Business data flows to identify security risks and vulnerabilities • Research security best practices and industry trends to enhance the Credit Card Business practices. • Work closely with external consultants, internal teams including IT, Cyber and Operational Risk, to conduct internal assessments, identify key controls, perform gap analysis and update processes to meet control objectives. • Influence remediation and prioritization of key risks while demonstrating holistic understanding and management of risks according to regulatory requirements and industry best practices. • Manage credit card business projects to resolve PCI concerns. • Support similar functions for the Debit Business (Phase 2). Education Bachelor's degree (B. A.) is required, preferably in Business Administration, Technology, Industrial Engineering, or related fields Certifications PCI (Payment Card Industry), QSA (Qualified Security Assessor) or ISA (Internal Security Assessor) certification will be required within a period of 6 months after starting in this role. Experience Experience in the payment industry is required. Experience in the cards industry is preferred Project management Experience in technology-related matters Other Qualifications • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish. (advanced level) • Proficiency in MS Office 365 including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint • Knowledge of payments regulations • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical peers • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact • Be detail-oriented, results-focused, and have a proven track record of driving tasks to completion • It is crucial to communicate compliance requirements, outcomes, and ideas to organization stakeholders in writing and verbally. Complex technological concerns must be explained clearly to non-technical audiences. Region Locations San Juan- Señorial Center Building Work Schedule Hybrid work schedule Monday to Friday- 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Flexibility to work non-business hours, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays when needed.
