Stantec is looking for a Mechanical Engineer Intern to join our Community Development Group for the summer of 2025 based out of the Minneapolis, MN area. In this role, you will work closely with Mechanical Engineers and Designers on primarily commercial and municipal projects.

Your Key Responsibilities Assisting in project administration including writing reports, gathering information, drafting correspondence, and completing progress reports Assisting technical staff with various project tasks, including researching, compiling and evaluating project data, preparing reports and performing calculations Prepare contract drawings, specifications, schedules, details and sketches from conceptual design through to construction, utilizing AutoCAD and/or Revit. Performing simple calculations and computer data entry Performing research and contacting vendors for information Complete other engineering/administrative duties as required Perform fieldwork necessary to gather data and provide construction support Your Capabilities and Credentials Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Ability to prioritize and take direction  Ability to solve problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation Knowledge of state and federal regulations, policies, and programs, is a plus Working knowledge of software programs including AutoCAD and/or Revit, is a plus Education and Experience In progress toward earning a Bachelor's degree (minimum) in mechanical engineering or related field 0-2 years of relevant engineering intern experience.

Typical office environment working with computers and working at a desk for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
