Building Maintenance Specialist
Job Summary:
Our client in Auburn Hills, MI is looking for a Building Maintenance Specialist. This is a contract position.
What You Will Do:
Under general supervision, this role involves specialized maintenance and mechanical repair of the department’s facilities to ensure continuous operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Review work requests, progress, schedules, and priorities to ensure efficient use of personnel and equipment.Handle emergency and unscheduled work requests, arranging prompt services.Perform quality control to ensure repairs and work are completed correctly.Prepare reports, work orders, and documentation as required.Respond to customer requests, status updates, and complaints; research and resolve issues appropriately.Areas of Responsibility:
Electrical systems.Mechanical systems.Plumbing.HVAC.Infrastructure repairs and maintenance.Additional Duties:
Conduct safety and environmental checks, coordinating with building engineering and management.Support janitorial services to maintain cleanliness and housekeeping.Assist with parts operations, including scrapping and disposal.Operate material handling equipment such as Hilo, Skid-Steer, and Pallet Jacks.Basics:
Interpersonal Relationships/Customer Service: Develop and maintain cooperative and professional relationships with employees.High School Diploma.5 years of Maintanence experience.Computer Skills: Utilize word processing, spreadsheet, and related software to complete administrative tasks efficiently.Time Management: Plan and organize daily work routine, estimate completion times, and establish personal schedules accordingly.Regular performance of moderately physically demanding tasks.Combination of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.Lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling moderately heavy objects and materials.How You Will Be Successful:
