Job Description:\n

The BAS Estimator is responsible for capturing labor and material costs to complete automation system estimates for both our commercial customers. This role is the foundation for the success of the BAS Department to capture the correct amount of profitable work by providing customers with the most accurate project cost as possible.\n

Responsibilities:\n\nDeveloping, analyzing, and maintaining accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for various construction projects.\nCollaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand the scope of work and project requirements.\nEvaluating and adjusting estimates to ensure they align with project timelines, budgets, and specifications.\nParticipating in the tender process, including the preparation of detailed proposals and bid packages.\nProviding strategic recommendations to optimize cost efficiency and project performance.\nKeeping up to date with industry trends, technological advancements, and market conditions to enhance estimating accuracy and efficiency.\nImplementing risk management strategies to minimize potential project cost overruns.\nWork with suppliers and subcontractors to negotiate pricing and secure the best deals.\n\n

Qualifications:\n\nA minimum of 3 years of experience in the BAS\/Controls industry\nPrevious experience within mechanical contracting\nExceptional leadership, customer service, and communication skills, both written and verbal\nExcellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, email, and internet usage; experience in Accubid a plus\nStrong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail\nStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task\nAbility to work individually with a teamwork mindsey\nThe ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment\nA solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and regulations\nThe ability to interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications\nA strong sense of professionalism and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct\nA proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure\n\n
