Job Description: The BAS Estimator is responsible for capturing labor and material costs to complete automation system estimates for both our commercial customers. This role is the foundation for the success of the BAS Department to capture the correct amount of profitable work by providing customers with the most accurate project cost as possible. Responsibilities: + Developing, analyzing, and maintaining accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for various construction projects. + Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand the scope of work and project requirements. + Evaluating and adjusting estimates to ensure they align with project timelines, budgets, and specifications. + Participating in the tender process, including the preparation of detailed proposals and bid packages. + Providing strategic recommendations to optimize cost efficiency and project performance. + Keeping up to date with industry trends, technological advancements, and market conditions to enhance estimating accuracy and efficiency. + Implementing risk management strategies to minimize potential project cost overruns. + Work with suppliers and subcontractors to negotiate pricing and secure the best deals. Qualifications: + A minimum of 3 years of experience in the BAS/Controls industry + Previous experience within mechanical contracting + Exceptional leadership, customer service, and communication skills, both written and verbal + Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, email, and internet usage; experience in Accubid a plus + Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail + Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task + Ability to work individually with a teamwork mindsey + The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment + A solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and regulations + The ability to interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications + A strong sense of professionalism and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct + A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure What We Offer: + $25 - $40/hr. based on experience and skill set. + Health Insurance - PPO and HSA plans available + Training and continued education + Employee Stock Ownership Plan - We are 100% employee owned! + Annual profit-sharing bonus + 401(k) with company match + Paid Vacation Time + Paid Parental Leave + Safety incentives and awards - earn extra PTO for being safe. + Uniforms, trade-related tools, phone, and laptop + Paid holidays include New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Drug screen and background checks will be performed.
