Job Description An employer is seeking two Build Infrastructure Engineers to join their team in Austin, Tx area. He or she will be joining the Video Conferencing Engineering team specifically on their platform engineer team, and will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining modern build environments for embedded Android and Linux based systems. The goal is to ideally get build times down and build an infrastructure that is more intelligent. He or she will be using distributed build environments tools such as Ice Cream and will be expected to help set up the physical build machines. There are multiple build types and platforms the Engineer will be responsible for and should be comfortable using both Linux and Linux Shell, using distributed build system tools such as distcc, Ice Cream and artifact caching models to help minimize build times, and have experience with open source tools like Yocto. The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge of best practices for Git source management, branching and release processes. This role will require the flexibility of going onsite (near Round Rock, TX) as needed for any physical connectivity work and the hourly pay will range from $50 - $65/hr.
