In order to be considered the following is required:
Diploma or relevant qualification in broadcasting Experience in broadcasting Rentman Understanding of relevant legislation Technically minded Responsibilities:
Broadcast Operations and Logistics:
Maintaining specialist equipment for video production, broadcast and satellite transmission and interactive media. Installing and testing new facilities and equipment Setting up and operating editing facilities in post-production suites Analysing and repairing technical faults on transmission equipment and systems Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine and emergency maintenance on all technical assets to ensure optimal functionality. Troubleshoot and repair any technical issues, documenting the nature of the problem and the solution implemented Monitoring Wear and Tear: Regularly inspect equipment for signs of wear and tear, taking preemptive actions to avoid downtime or equipment failure. Establish and adhere to a maintenance schedule based on equipment usage and manufacturer recommendations Event Preparation and Kit Assembly: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to understand specific technical requirements and prepare equipment kits accordingly. Ensure that each kit is complete, functional and tailored to the event's technical specifications Technical Validation: Verify that all equipment and kits meet the requisite technical standards and performance criteria before deployment. Conduct pre-event testing and validation to ensure compatibility and readiness Inventory: Maintain an inventory of spare parts and necessary tools for on-site repairs and adjustments. Optimize resource utilization by forecasting equipment needs based on event schedules and maintenance records Warehouse Management:
Implement and maintain optimal layout and organisation within the warehouse to facilitate efficient storage and retrieval of goods Establish procedures for the timely and accurate receiving, inspection, and recording of incoming goods Implement a verification system for confirming the condition and quantity of received items Ensure precise tracking and recording of inventory levels to maintain accurate stock information Enforce warehouse safety protocols and ensure adherence to regulatory compliance standards including those pertaining to vehicle maintenance and safety Communication and Reporting:
Perform administration obligations and attend meetings with other stakeholders and business units Safekeeping of company’s assets Submit requested reports on time Ensure that all relevant stakeholders are kept up to date and provided with the relevant information HQ Broadcast Systems - Gaining a thorough understanding to enable them to fulfil a snr support engineer role Broadcast Equipment Management Administration:
Ensure that Rentman is used correctly for management of assets this includes but not limited to asset tagin and logging faulty equipment on Rentman Updating of the asset register Assisting in the quotation process for new events Procuring of new assets as required Insurance policy updates receiving and outward goods Management of asset deregistering and disposal Liaising with courier service providers Maintain a defined list of suppliers and/or service agreements for the timeous repairs, maintenance / upkeep and replacement / purchase of equipment as applicable If you would like to email your CV directly – please send it to [email protected]
