What You’ll Do:
• Lead and facilitate broadband/fiber network client engagements and manage complex projects involving planning, design engineering, implementation and construction management.
• Lead and execute high-level assessment methodologies and action plans for broadband, fixed/wireless, smart city, and communications planning projects.
• Facilitate public-private partnerships, including leading negotiations on term sheets and drafting agreements.
• Act as subject matter expert on client engagements adding value and substance to client reports and deliverables.
• Plan and attend meetings and conference calls with internal staff and external clients.
• Manage timelines, issues, and deliverables related to assigned projects.
• Manage the work product and ensures that it conforms to the project scope.
• Utilize project management tools to manage projects and provide accurate reporting on budgets, time, schedules, and key indicators.
• Identify project slippage or other issues and coordinate with management on solutions.
• Research and analyze information to produce reports and other work products for projects in the following areas: technical, financial, regulatory, market, general business, needs assessments, and others as determined.
• Deliver final reports to clients and present results.
• Work with a wide range of stakeholders to determine needs and opportunities for broadband development and smart city practices, and to translate those needs and opportunities into practical plans.
• Must balance diverse interests, communicate effectively at various levels, across agencies and organizations, gather and analyze data, and manage stakeholders’ expectations.
• Day-to-day activities involve analysis, coordination, research, and writing.

Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience working on complex, high-profile public projects
• 2+ years of experience dealing with broadband development and/or telecommunications
• Experience working with GIS mapping tools (ArcGIS, Google Earth, QGIS)
• Word processing, web, spreadsheet, and presentation skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working for or directly with municipalities in complex infrastructure projects across multiple departments.
• This position requires broad knowledge of local government, particularly development, planning, public works, and utilities.
• Familiarity with state and federal standard grant processes; experience applying for and securing state or federal grants a plus.
