SALARY: $79,200 - $94,050

 
SHIFT: Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm - 11:00pm

ROLE SUMMARY:

If you are interested in a hands-on, continuous improvement-oriented, fast-paced role in a world-class manufacturing environment then our Brewing Area Manager role is for you. In this role, . Attending daily meetings, creating and executing action plans to meet critical metrics, troubleshooting process concerns on the fly, developing relationships with technicians, influencing change, and growing technically and as a leader are all elements of this great opportunity. Additionally, you can expect to: 
 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead a team of unionized employees to optimize production efficiencyDevelop and monitor production plans, inventories, and coordinate activities to meet schedules and target objectivesManage strategic plan for manpower and training/coaching for the departmentExecution of health and safety programs, and enforce critical aspects of safety and quality involved in brewing/ beer operationsManages department financial results and inventories and track via SAPCreation and Implementation of tools and process resources to improve quality, safety, efficiency, etc.Responsible to achieve supply of beer with correct volume, brand on time and within quality specifications to the packaging departmentUtilize Management System tools to achieve critical metric targets and close gaps in performance (root cause analysis, Gap Analysis, MCRS meeting schedules and action logs, 5 - Why's, PDCA and SDCA cycles, etc.).Oversee preventative maintenance work in area of responsibility.Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) are being followed.Responsible for driving Engagement improvement in the brewing department.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

BS degree required, preferred if in Chemical Engineering, Fermentation/Food Science, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology or similar field. 1-3 years experience as a supervisor in a unionized production department preferred Must have basic mechanical aptitude or knowledge of brewing equipment and processProficient knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel & PowerpointExcellent verbal and written communication in EnglishStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsPreference towards individuals with experience in implementation of continuous improvement tools and processesStrong organization skills with the ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to work rotating shifts
