Job Description

Job Title: BREDS, Originations, Associate

Location: New York

Job Description:

Blackstone investment professionals will have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of the deal process and be staffed on a number of assignments at once. Due to the relatively small size of

the professional staff, team members have the opportunity to assume integral roles on deal teams.

Investment professionals in the BREDS Group have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of real estate debt transactions including:

New debt originations, including first mortgage and mezzanine loans, B-notes and preferred equityAcquisitions of legacy loans, CMBS and other forms of public and private debtStructured solutions including synthetic risk transfersRestructuringsRecapitalizations

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Support loan and real estate asset underwriting, due diligence, deal structuring and deal execution, including the negotiation of term sheets and financing termsAs part of a team identify, underwrite, price, structure and close single asset and portfolio loansProvide transactional support as requiredParticipate in internal and external client meetings, the negotiation of contracts and other agreements, and due diligence sessionsDomestic travel to perform property tours and market analysisDirect research of targeted transactions for investment purposesPerform valuation analyses of prospective investment opportunitiesOversee the work of junior team members; especially the design and development of financial modelsManage the preparation of written analyses and evaluations of investment opportunities

Qualifications:

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors.  The successful candidate should have:

Expected annual base salary range:

$115,000 - $150,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
