Gaylord is located in south central Minnesota about an hour west of the Twin Cities and 35 minutes from Mankato, Hutchinson, and New Ulm. As the County Seat, Gaylord is the "Hub of Sibley County." Our location produces liquid egg, hardcook egg, and precooked egg such as scrambled, patties and omelets. Responsibilities POSITION SUMMARY: The Coordinator position monitors employees in the breaking room to ascertain quality and fitness for egg consumption. The Coordinator will be responsible for directing the set up, inspection and sanitation of the breaking room ensuring Line Workers follow all company policies and procedures by performing the following duties: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Pre-startup and setup: Ensures all PPE & GMP supplies are being used and/or followed and makes them available to employees not in compliance; Sanitizes the breaking machines. Leads in stretching exercises twice a day Adjusts and maintains all breaking machines with maintenance assistance. Relieves breaking room employees during breaks. Oversees cleaning of breaking room during mid-shift cleanup Prepares and maintains the breaking room for production and completes mid-shift and daily sanitation needs. Maintains breaking room cleanliness at all times by keeping egg off the floor. Addresses all USDA issues immediately (ex. sours, excessive dirt) with management, USDA inspector and/or employees. Monitors GMP’s practices to ensure compliance in accordance with USDA, HACCP & SQF standards. Fosters open communications and a good attitude toward work and fellow employees. Ability to maintain regular and consistent attendance. Learn and follow the correct cleaning procedures. Ability to clean all parts and equipment and put them back together. Obtain general information on every area of the production floor. Ability to follow and train co-workers on all company procedures and policies. Ability to follow instructions from the leads and supervisors. Perform CIP’s and Sanitation of equipment as required. Fill out all required paperwork for production and track downtime events. Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety. Responsible for Food Safety and Food Quality of MFI products ability to cover the lead position as needed, train on SAP, Redzone and Email communication. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent. One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Yearly LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) Training Yearly Chemical Training PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s The pay range for this position is $21.00 to $26.50 per hour.
