Role overview:
Lead the Brazilian Indirect Procurement team, taking full accountability for the Business Partners and Regional Category Managers and joint accountability for the Global Category organization in region with the Global Category Management Leads.Accountabilities:
Influence all businesses/functions within Region to achieve the highest level of contribution to profit, growth, and competitive advantage utilizing best in class procurement principals. Lead on behalf of Global Indirect Procurement, global or multi-regional project teams to deliver their targets based on cost & innovation.Work closely with the Global Category Management Leads to ensure that the region business requirements are clearly understood and taken account of in the category strategies.Agree and align on annual objectives and targets for the regional based Category team with the Global Category Management Leads.Continuously drive for the Optimal Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).Ensure complete alignment between the BP and Category teams to ensure that Category strategies are fully deployed across the region.Ensure that Indirect Procurement is aligned with the various business functions in the regions/countries and is therefore able to deliver significant savings to the P/L on a consistent and sustainable basis.Act as an ambassador of Procurement and Global Sourcing and be the regional champion for all Procurement policies, processes and tools.Lead team of approximately 3-4 direct and 15-20 indirect reports.Develop and manage a close and cohesive leadership team which is able to lead change.Drive the complete alignment of the procurement BP and Category teams at Global/Regional/Country level to ensure the savings/benefits associated with the deployment and leveraging of category strategies are fully realized.Be the face of procurement to the regional leadership team, ensuring they are aware of and actively support procurement policies, processes and tools across the region and ensuring that Indirect Procurement is fully aware of the challenges, opportunities, and priorities of the region.Ensure savings pipeline is used consistently throughout the region and that it is accurate and able to drive the delivery of targets.Work closely with senior regional finance management to embed joint processes and handle escalations from countries.Identify and implement processes and tools which drive best practice.Contribute to the development of the global procurement strategy by active participation on the Global Procurement Leadership Team.Continually monitor performance against KPIs and coach staff on achieving agreed objectives.Provide plans with resources, milestones and measures; pursue stretching target operations beyond those set.Demonstrate consistent customer focus; build up networks with customers and stakeholders.Provide innovative and new solutions to existing problems and a positive attitude to change and progress.Set clear, high, achievable standards and goals. Qualifications
Critical Knowdge & Experience
10 years of Indirect Procurement Management experience in international companies.Knowdle of the brasiliam local marketDegree and/or commercial qualification (e.g. MBA).Solid understanding of Category Management approaches and techniques.Solid knowlodge and understanding of the Brazilian MarketIn depth knowledge of internal purchasing policies, procedures and processes.Experience in leading the implementation of sourcing strategies.Experience in leadership of complex global projects.In depth knowledge of wide-range of Indirect Categories and the related Supply Markets.Sound understanding of financial/economic drivers and principles.Ability to team build, network and influence with a global reach.Relationship management experience either internally or externally at leadership level.Strong international & Brazil indirect procurement experience with demonstrated success.Solid knowledge of E-Procurement tools (Ariba, E-Auctions, P2P, Etc).Language skills: Fluent level of English and Portuguese with full work proficiencyAdditional Knowledge, Skills, Traits & Abilities:
